New User Interface

Faster Time to Implement
Continuing on our march towards allowing all of the configuration to be done in the user interface, PPSS now allows nearly all charts and measures, deal templates, and the deal view on Blackberry to be configured this way.
Enhanced salesforce.com Capabilities
You can get analytical insights directly within the SFDC app. The same price waterfalls, peer group analyses, and margin opportunity reports that we show in Scientific Analytics can now be integrated within SFDC to offer the right price at the right time.
Set Better Prices
If you are struggling to set the right prices on their large collection of products, Price Optimizer is here to help! Our optimization models are now enhanced with a slew of new capabilities to make them more accurate and easy to manipulate. Automatically generated demand curves now incorporate seasonal shifts, price changes can now be measured against alternate benchmarks, and the optimization model itself will try and relax pricing constraints to help achieve optimal results!
Better Predictive Analytics
This is the cornerstone of intelligent science, and the forecasting capabilities released in PPSS just upped the ante. Analysts can now identify outliers and reconstruct forecasts so that they are not swayed by non-recurring events. Pricers in fast-moving commodity markets have to keep up with competitor price moves to maintain their market position, and now they can rely on PROS to forecast competitor price moves accurately. Our new techniques are helping customers. One example is a large energy customer can now manage their market position in all of their North American markets while maintaining ratability.
Smarter Deal Quoting
The best contracts are the ones that drive a company towards proven business results. So we decided why not take these best contracts and allow users to turn them into templates? And why not take it a step further and let PROS science generate pricing decisions directly to give our customers an optimal template? Well, as of this release Deal Optimizer lets you do exactly that. Now every sales person can begin a quote with an optimal deal structure attuned to their customer. And if they decide they want to go off on their own and then want to compare their deal against the optimal deal? Well, you can now do that too.
Offline Deals
So you need to work out a long-term deal structure that has positive cash flow considerations, but you happen to be on a long plane ride to Europe? No problem. Deal Optimizer in Excel now allows sales people to model assumptions that take place at a certain points in the deal time horizon, and can now calculate profitability metrics related to cash flow and time-based payments/incentives.
PROS continues to be laser focused on further reducing our customer’s time to value, increase their ROI, help provide better pricing, better processes, resulting in maximum profitability. We believe our Spring 2010 release is a great example resulting from that commitment.
