Maarten Oosten
Maarten is currently a Senior Director of Science & Research at PROS. He joined PROS in the summer of 1999 after holding teaching and research positions at various schools, including the University of British Columbia, the Graduate School of Industrial Administration, which is the business school of Carnegie Mellon University, and Maastricht University in The Netherlands. Since joining PROS in the summer of 1999, he has contributed to the successful deployment of several large scale revenue management and pricing optimization applications. Currently, Maarten manages the science and research group. Maarten received his M.Sc. in Econometrics in 1988 from the University of Groningen (The Netherlands) and his Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Maastricht (The Netherlands) in 1996.  

Ed Kambour
Edward has been with PROS since September of 1998 as a member of the Science and Research Department.  His responsibilities include science forecast support across all PROS applications, research aimed at improving existing forecast methods as well as deriving new methodologies, and science liaison with Software Development for implementation and maintenance of the PROS Forecast Engine.

Edward has over 12 years of experience with the application of Hierarchical Bayesian models across a wide range of applications, from industrial applications to medicine to sports, as well as in Pricing and Revenue Management.  He is a frequent presenter at major conferences (INFORM, ASA, AGIFORS); he was the awarded the “Best Technical Presentation” at the AGIFORS RM Section in 2003. Edward has a strong background in Mathematical Statistics, as well as in Computational Statistics. He received his Ph.D. with Honors from Texas A&M University in Statistics and his Bachelor of Science from Moorhead State University in Mathematics and Economics.

Royce Kallesen
Royce is a Senior Scientist and Manager of Science and Research for PROS.  Royce joined PROS in 1999 and manages a team of scientists developing revenue optimization products and has a specialization in airline revenue management. Prior to joining PROS, Royce was a Member of the Technical Staff of Logicon, Inc., which is now part of Northrop Grumman.  During his five years at Logicon, he worked on large-scale decision support software projects. Royce earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science from Augustana College, and his Masters in Science in Mathematics with an emphasis in Operations Research from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. 

PR Narayanan
As a Senior Scientist, Dr. Narayanan’s responsibilities include research and support of leading edge science in airline applications. During the last few years, Dr. Narayanan has been actively involved in managing science activities related to implementation of PROS O&D product. Previously as Director of Product Management, Dr. Narayanan’s responsibilities included product management. Dr. Narayanan has acquired several years of experience working closely with the airline clients.

Dr. Narayanan has contributed significantly to the development of PROS Network Analysis System, and to the integrated probabilistic fare mix/overbooking optimizer for PROS IV. Dr. Narayanan graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas, where he earned a Ph.D. in Management Science, with a specialization in Operations Research and a minor in Computer Science. Dr. Narayanan has presented in several academic and industry related conferences. Dr. Narayanan has published a paper, Point-of-Sale: An Alternative Form of O&D Control, in the 1998 edition of The Handbook of Airline Marketing.

Aaron Putnam
As a Senior Scientist and Director, Aaron has been responsible for the development of science solutions for the airline cargo, airline passenger, broadcasting, healthcare, rental car, rental truck, and rental equipment products. Currently, he is leading product development, business consulting, and implementation efforts for PROS Auto Rental Suite of products.  Aaron possesses Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Roxy Cramer
Roxy is a Senior Scientist and Manager in Science and Research. Since her start at PROS in June 2000 she has provided science support and expertise at each stage of the PROS product lifecycle, from product configuration to implementation to maintenance.  She has supported numerous product deployments including PROS’ healthcare contract and list price optimization systems, hotel and cruise revenue management and pricing systems, and petroleum commercial and branded price recommendation systems.  Roxy is currently product manager for PROS Science Workbenches and manages a group specializing in demand modeling and price optimization.  Roxy holds an M.S. degree in mathematics from Wichita State University and a Ph.D. in statistics from Rice University. 

Neil Biehn
Dr. Biehn is currently a Manager and Senior Scientist at PROS Pricing where he heads up the Science Solutions group responsible for the configuration and implementation of science based pricing solutions in the Manufacturing, Distribution and Services verticals.  In addition, Dr. Biehn helped design and implement the PROS Hotel and Cruise products.  Prior to PROS, Dr. Biehn received his PhD in Operations Research from North Carolina State University.  Dr. Biehn currently lives in Houston, TX where he was the local Chapter President of INFORMS during 2002-2005.  Dr. Biehn continues to be an active member of the national chapter of INFORMS and presents at their annual conference regularly.

Tony Ruggiero
Tony is a Senior Scientist in Science and Research at PROS.  He is an integral member of the Pricing Solutions Group.  Tony is a leader in providing the science support for pricing implementations. In his approximately 6 years at PROS, he has been science manager or lead scientist on: the network revenue and pricing system, the car rental pricing and distribution system, the airline cargo pricing system, the rail passenger revenue management system, the origin/destination airline pricing component, and extended components of the PROS Forecasting Engine.

Prior to joining PROS, Tony was involved with a start-up mathematical finance software company, Numerica, in Toronto, Canada.  Furthermore, he has held many research positions and sessional instructorships at various universities in the fields of Mathematics, Physics and Mathematical Finance. Tony has earned an Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with emphasis in Mathematical Finance (Stochastic Processes) and an Master of Science degree in Theoretical High-Energy Physics.

Darius Walczak
As a Senior Scientist at PROS, Darius is the manager of PROS' Optimization Engine.  He holds a Ph. D. degree in Business Administration (Operations & Logistics) from Sauder Business School, University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C., along with Master's degrees in Mathematics from UBC and Applied Mathematics from Wroclaw University of Technology. His research focuses on Revenue Management, Pricing Optimization and Dynamic Programming, which he presents regularly at national and international conferences. Since joining PROS in 2001, Darius has been involved in design and deployment of many revenue management and pricing optimization applications across variety of industries.

Suzanne Grimes
Suzanne Grimes joined the Science and Research department in August 2003 as a member of the forecast science team.   During her time at PROS, Suzanne has provided forecasting science support for numerous products such as the Contribution Management System, Contract Pricing Optimization System, and the Hospital Optimization System. Suzanne holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics and a M.S. degree in Statistics from Sam Houston State University. 

Kyle Schoener
Working as a Senior Scientist in the Science and Research department here at PROS, Kyle is currently responsible for all client and science related issues with the Hospitality (HROS) and Cruise (CPROS) revenue management systems.  He was a key member in the development of the CPROS revenue management system. Kyle has several degrees including bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Southwestern University and a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from Rice University.

Ivette Arambula
Ivette is a Senior Scientist in Science and Research. Since joining the PROS team in 2004 she has provided science expertise in airline, infrastructure, travel and transportation and pricing projects. She is the science manager for two applications of the Contribution Management System for car rental, truck rental and the Passenger Rail System.  She coordinates various coding activities in S&R, in particular the recent efforts of prototyping the Forecasting, Demand Modeling, Segmentation and Pricing Workbenches.

Prior to coming to PROS, Ivette was a researcher for the Texas Engineering Experiment Station and a graduate teaching assistant and instructor at Texas A&M University. She has published papers in revered journals and presented her research at INFORMS, SIAM, IIE, MSOM, among others. She has years of consulting experience designing and applying science solutions in the manufacturing industry and in the airline industry as lead scientist designing an airline crew scheduling optimization solution. She was also with the Mathematics Department at Monterrey Institute of Technology for four years as a lecturer. Ivette received her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University; holds a M.S. in Operations Research and Management Science, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Monterrey Institute of Technology.
