Houston, Texas – November 17, 2005 — PROS had a dominant presence at the INFORMS Annual Meeting 2005. PROS was invited to give keynote presentations, chair clusters, and present numerous papers.
PROS participation included the following:
- Dr. Andy Boyd, PROS Chief Scientist, gave the keynote presentation at the INFORMS roundtable, and ten other PROS executives and scientists presented papers.
- Dr. Garrett van Ryzin, a member of the PROS science advisory board, won the Lanchester prize for his book co-authored with Dr.Kalyan Talluri titled The Theory and Practice of Revenue Management.
- Dr. Peter Belobaba, who is also a member of PROS science advisory board, gave a presentation and chaired a session on Airline Revenue Management.
- Dr. Darius Walczak, one of PROS Senior Scientists, co-chaired and organized the main Revenue Management and Pricing cluster of more than sixty presentations, along with Dr. Patrice Marcotte of the University of Montreal. Dr. Walczak also chaired a topics session.
