CIO Webinar Success

PROS offered a more technical webinar targeted to IT executives last quarter, which detailed best practices for meeting the unique requirements of global corporations.  PROS shared its methodology for pricing technology change management and what benefits can be achieved through systematic pricing.  Because of the high attendance at this webinar, it will be offered again on April 12, 2006, at 11 a.m. CST.

 

PROS Enhances Science Leadership in Pricing Optimization and Revenue Management at INFORMS

PROS had a dominant presence at the INFORMS 2005 Annual Meeting attended by 3000 professionals in Operations Research and the Management Sciences.  INFORMS invited PROS to give keynote presentations, chair clusters and present numerous papers on the following topics:

  • Dr. Andy Boyd, PROS Chief Scientist, gave the keynote presentation at the INFORMS roundtable, and ten other PROS executives and scientists presented papers.
  • Dr. Garrett van Ryzin, a member of the PROS science advisory board, won the Lanchester prize for his book co-authored with Dr. Kalyan Talluri titled The Theory and Practice of Revenue Management.
  • Dr. Peter Belobaba, who is also a member of PROS science advisory board, gave a presentation and chaired a session on Airline Revenue Management.
  • Dr. Darius Walczak, one of PROS Senior Scientists, co-chaired and organized the main Revenue Management and Pricing cluster of more than sixty presentations, along with Dr. Patrice Marcotte of the University of Montreal.  Dr. Walczak also chaired a topics session.

 

IDC Report:  “PROS Pricing Solutions:  The Price is Right on Target”

PROS has joined the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association (HEDNA) as an Allied member.  PROS is a strong advocate of HEDNA’s mission to increase hotel industry revenues and profitability from electronic distribution channels and to be the foremost travel industry association advancing hotel electronic distribution by optimizing current technology, education, open exchange among members, and influencing development of current and emerging electronic distribution channels.  Through this membership, PROS is continuing to build on its 20 year history in travel and transportation.
