PROS Announces Strong 2006 Financial Results

Houston, Texas -- February 14, 2007 -- PROS, the world’s leader in pricing and revenue optimization science and software, announced strong positive results for the year ending December 31, 2006. PROS extended its record of profitability to 8 consecutive years of profitability and ended 2006 with record revenues, a strong balance sheet, record backlog, and no bank debt.

Financial Highlights:

 

  • Revenues increased 31% YOY to a record $46 million.
  • Record of profitability extended to 8 consecutive years.
  • Continued investment in new science, new software development and new consulting services. The company has not capitalized any software development costs to date.
  • PriceWaterhouseCoopers audit completed with an unqualified opinion.
  • PROS continues to be recognized as the leader in the Pricing and Revenue Optimization space by the analyst community. PROS is the only vendor that meets all the vendor viability criteria established by third party analysts.
  • Headcount increased 25% YOY to a record 300 employees.
  • Strong balance sheet with no bank debt.

Major 2006 Milestones:

  • New software contracts include solutions for Advanced Revenue Management, Price List Optimization, Contract Price Optimization, Deal Manager, Pricing Manager, Hospitality Revenue Optimization and Pricing Analytics.
  • Over 470 people attended the 12th Annual PROS Revenue Management Conference, making it PROS’ largest and most successful conference ever. The event comprised two separate tracks - a Revenue Management Conference and a Pricing Excellence Summit. This year’s conference will be held on April 22-25, 2007, at The Intercontinental Hotel in Houston, TX.
  • Celebrated PROS’ 20th anniversary by recognizing the substantial number of professional staff with over 10 years of PROS experience.
  • A special edition of the Journal of Pricing and Revenue Management was published composed wholly of papers authored by PROS employees. The Journal of Revenue & Pricing Management serves and reflects the tremendous growth in research and practices of revenue management and pricing.
  • A 100% customer retention rate; PROS Client Care provides high quality services to support a large install base of solutions worldwide. PROS also offers superior customer training, pricing audits, and user councils.
  • Best practice release management with releases each quarter for each product.
  • Improved customer satisfaction by launching a new customer support organization with increased staff. The PROS SupportWeb allows customers easily to submit, view, and update their PROS Product Support incidents.
  • Product User Council sessions were held. These Councils provide a forum that allows users and managers alike to share knowledge and experiences, stay abreast of RM practices, and review updates to the PROS product roadmap.
  • PROS Chief Scientist Andrew Boyd elected Chair of the INFORMS Revenue Management and Pricing Section.
