Houston, Texas – October
4, 2007 – PROS
Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: PRO), a leading provider of
pricing and revenue optimization software products announced
today the latest enhancements to PROS O&D, a leading
origin- destination revenue management solution for the
airline industry.
These developments allow airline Revenue Management departments
to operate more efficiently in today's highly competitive marketplace,
including the low-cost/hybrid markets. The streamlined workflow
improves the user experience so that analysts can focus on
capturing opportunities to increase revenues. The features
in this release include:
- Forecast Smart Start which reduces system administration
efforts by providing the ability to select target markets
to forecast. This feature is particularly useful for migrating
markets from traditional to hybrid forecasting, restating
historical holidays and special events and changing forecast
parameters
- A new availability display which provides additional information
on the lowest class available for sale, the number of seats
available in each class, as well as other data important
in the management of seat availability, especially in low-fare/hybrid
markets
- Restructured traditional and hybrid network optimization
to allow the configurable use of bid prices to estimate revenue
in optimizer steps (Capacity Management,
Overbooking-Maximize Revenue) that previously utilized only
expected marginal-seat revenue (EMSR)
- Enhanced integration between the PROS O&D and the PROS
O&D Cargo revenue management systems to include additional
data for maximizing revenue on flights that carry both passengers
and cargo
- A new interface to allow customers to load market demand
and show-up sponsorship information from off-line systems
In addition, the PROS RTDP real-time dynamic pricing module
includes new functionality to give analysts the ability to
affect the seat availability decision.
- Ability to manage availability across an airline's entire
marketed network with interline adjustments for online carrier
codes
- Support for attaching network market indicators to an availability
or booking request response. These indicators can be used
to trigger customer-specific logic within the airline's reservations
system
"PROS continues to listen to its user community and incorporate
these valuable user stories into the development of the PROS
O&D product. Managing in low-fare markets remains a priority,
and this release includes a number of functionalities to assist
analysts in capturing revenue opportunities," said Brian
Wishlinski, Group Vice President for Product Management.
PROS will be conducting two webcasts to demonstrate the features
contained in this release. These webcasts will be held on Tuesday
23 October 2007 at 20:00 (US-CDT) and on Thursday 25 October
at 09:00 (US-CDT). Space for these webcasts is limited. For
