Houston, Texas – November
6, 2007 – PROS Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:
PRO), a leader in pricing and revenue optimization software,
announced that Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the
State of Qatar, has executed an all-encompassing contract
to deploy the PROS O&D Revenue Optimization Solution.
"With our unprecedented growth as an international network
carrier, Qatar Airways must align its revenue management practice
with its business strategy. In seeking to maximize network
revenue and to establish a competitive advantage, we selected
PROS as our partner to provide us with sophisticated O&D
network revenue optimization solutions," stated Mr. Akbar
Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways.
"Qatar Airways requires proven technology that generates
fast-track results. We are pleased to be working with PROS
in this important endeavor to ensure that we achieve our very
aggressive commercial objectives."
The Doha-based airline is one of the fastest growing carriers
in the world currently flying to 79 destinations worldwide
from its hub in the State of Qatar. Qatar Airways has licensed
PROS leading-edge O&D revenue management suite. This state-of-the-art
system -- consisting of PNR-based forecasting, network optimization
and dynamic pricing -- maximizes revenue by managing real-time
pricing of seat inventory based on customer demand flow throughout
the entire network. Furthermore, Qatar Airways will enhance
the efficiency of revenue management best practice by incorporating
PROS Real-Time Customer Management (RTCM). PROS RTCM improves
the effectiveness of marketing strategies by analyzing passenger
and market attributes and then targeting the right customer
with the right price initiative at the right time. In addition,
Qatar Airways licensed the new-generation PROS Group 6 System,
a sophisticated tool to maximize network revenue associated
with group/tour operator traffic and to automate the various
business processes and work flow for group management. Separately,
Qatar Airways also licensed the PROS Network Revenue Planning
System to properly plan the sales strategies that balance commercial
market requirements with network revenue optimization goals.
"PROS is proud to be a long-term partner of Qatar Airways
and to provide world-class solutions to optimize the carrier's
revenue growth opportunities. The PROS O&D technology is
the most widely used network revenue optimization solution
that has proven in production to generate revenue lift at airlines
worldwide, and we are absolutely delighted that the PROS systems
fit the innovative thinking and business philosophies of Qatar
Airways," said Benson Yuen, Senior Vice President, PROS.
